🌱 WORLD VEGETARIAN DAY 🌱
Today, we’re highlighting something simple that often gets overlooked: vegetables belong on everybody’s plate — young or old.
From colorful salads and roasted vegetables to beans, greens, squash, peppers, tomatoes, and root vegetables, cultures around the world have built traditional meals around plants for generations.
🌍 Take a look at the world’s “Blue Zones” — regions known for having unusually high numbers of people living into their 90s and beyond. Their traditional eating patterns commonly include plenty of vegetables, beans, whole grains, fruits, and other plant-based foods, while meat is often eaten in smaller amounts.
That doesn't mean you have to give up meat.
It means adding more plants to the plate can be a delicious part of everyday eating.
